The Hoyland Remembrance and Parade Group in South Yorkshire has canceled its annual display of over 350 wooden poppies, each commemorating a fallen soldier, due to new council regulations prohibiting decorations on posts with road signs. The Barnsley Council cited safety concerns and licensing requirements for lamppost attachments, leaving the group disheartened about the lack of a suitable display for Armistice Day.
