Could an earthquake shift the balance in Myanmar’s civil war? | Military News

Bangkok, Thailand – Myanmar is recovering from a devastating 7.7 magnitude earthquake that killed at least 3,649 people and disrupted military supply chains amidst an ongoing civil war. The military, while controlling major cities, faces increasing pressure from armed opposition groups, particularly the People’s Defence Force (PDF) and the Arakan Army, who are gaining momentum in the conflict. Despite a temporary truce for relief efforts, military operations have continued, and analysts predict intensified fighting as the situation evolves.
