Fugitive Sex Offender Captured After Faking Death

A convicted sex offender, Anthony Lennon, was captured in New York after evading authorities for nearly 13 years by faking his own death. Lennon, previously convicted of child pornography, staged an elaborate abduction scene to escape arrest in Oklahoma in 2012. While on the run, he adopted the alias “Justin Phillips” and enrolled in a university. He is now awaiting extradition to Oklahoma, where authorities are investigating potential additional crimes.
