Convicted killer dies after falling from roof of iconic landmark

A convicted murderer, Emanuele De Maria, died after falling from the Milan Duomo cathedral following a violent incident where he stabbed a colleague, Hani Fouad Abdelghaffar Nasr, at his workplace, Hotel Berna. De Maria, who was serving a 15-year sentence for the murder of Oumaima Racheb in 2016, had been on the run after the stabbing incident. Police are also investigating the suspicious death of another hotel employee, Arachchilage Dona Chamila Wijesuriyauna, whose body was found in a lake after she went missing.
