Commonwealth Bank has launched an AI bot to combat telephone scammers, who caused significant financial losses in 2024. The bot, developed with Macquarie University’s Apate.AI, engages scammers in fruitless conversations, allowing CommBank to gather intelligence and reduce the impact of scams on Australians.
