Jabeur’s Break from Tennis
A two-time Wimbledon runner-up, Ons Jabeur, known as the ‘Minister of Happiness’ for her upbeat demeanor, has decided to step back from the tour to focus on her well-being and rediscover joy in life. She expressed concerns about the demanding nature of the sport’s schedule, which she feels is detrimental to players, a sentiment shared by fellow competitor Iga Swiatek. Jabeur, the highest-ranked player from an Arab nation in WTA history, has secured five WTA singles titles.
