Biden’s first interview since leaving the White House

Former US President Joe Biden criticized his successor, Donald Trump, for pressuring Ukraine to end its conflict with Russia, calling it “modern-day appeasement.” In his first post-presidency interview on BBC Radio 4, Biden reflected on the 80th anniversary of VE Day and expressed concerns about the future of US-Europe relations. He also discussed his decision to withdraw late in the 2020 presidential race, stating that it would not have made a significant difference if he had stepped aside earlier for Kamala Harris to challenge Trump.
