Warp Films, known for producing the hit TV show Adolescence, is set to develop a TV series based on the 1984 nuclear war film Threads. The Sheffield-based company plans to adapt the movie, which follows the aftermath of a city attack, into a character-driven exploration of prescient issues. The original film, written by Barry Hines, is praised for its bleak storyline and vivid portrayal of a post-apocalyptic South Yorkshire.
