CM Yogi asks officials to spruce up communication, cleanliness, security systems in Mahakumbh Mela area

The Chief Minister instructed authorities to prepare for huge crowds of 8 to 10 crore during Mauni Amavasya and Republic Day, emphasizing the importance of robust arrangements for visitor safety and convenience. He directed officials to ensure uninterrupted electricity and water supply, proper maintenance of facilities, a well-planned crowd management strategy, and improved mobile network services. Railway authorities were instructed to implement special arrangements and regular announcements for the influx of devotees, with over 200 Mela Special Trains planned. The Chief Minister also stressed the need for better infrastructure, coordination with local organisations, and increased security measures, including bonfires and presence of Water Police and Ganga Doots for devotee assistance.
