Raducanu withdraws from Auckland with back issue

Emma Raducanu has withdrawn from the ASB Classic in Auckland due to a back problem, flying to Melbourne to prepare for the Australian Open. The 2021 US Open champion, who has hired a new fitness trainer, will enter the first Grand Slam of the season without match practice as she is currently ranked 56th in the world and will not be seeded.
