Farmers gather for protest over tax changes

Thousands of farmers gathered at the Eikon Exhibition Centre in Lisburn to protest against planned changes to inheritance tax, particularly the cap of £1m on agricultural property relief announced in the Budget. The farmers are concerned that the next generation will be deterred from taking over family enterprises due to the tax changes. Politicians and agricultural leaders also attended the rally. The farmers are calling for a reconsideration of the tax changes, as they fear the impact on the future of farming in Northern Ireland.
