Afcon 2025: Sami Trabelsi Leaves Tunisia After Mali Loss

Tunisia coach Sami Trabelsi has been sacked following the team’s last-16 defeat to Mali in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations. Despite playing against 10 men for over 90 minutes, Tunisia conceded a penalty in stoppage time, leading to a shootout loss. The Tunisian Football Federation announced the termination of Trabelsi’s contract after he expressed disappointment over the team’s exit. Trabelsi had rejoined the national team in February after resigning in 2013.
