Mutuku Ing’ati, a Kenyan soldier who joined the British army during World War Two, vanished 85 years ago, leaving his family searching for answers. Recently, the Commonwealth War Graves Commission uncovered records revealing he died in action on June 13, 1943, but his burial site remains unknown. His nephew, Benjamin Mutuku, expressed a desire for closure, noting the importance of being laid to rest near family. Efforts are ongoing to document and honor the stories of forgotten Kenyan soldiers like Ing’ati.
