Iran’s leader confirms deaths in recent protests

Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, publicly acknowledged that thousands were killed during recent protests, attributing blame to the US and Israel. The unrest, which began over economic issues, evolved into demands for Khamenei’s ousting, with reports indicating at least 3,090 fatalities amid a violent crackdown and internet shutdown.
