Liam Lawson achieved his best Formula One result by finishing eighth in the Monaco Grand Prix, employing a strategic team effort with Racing Bulls. He intentionally slowed down to create space for teammate Isack Hadjar, who finished sixth, allowing Hadjar to pit without traffic during a race impacted by mandatory pit stops. Lawson completed his stops by lap 43, and although he didn’t overtake any drivers on track, he gained four championship points due to Fernando Alonso’s mid-race retirement, surpassing his previous best finishes.
