Katseye Receives Thousands of Death Threats

The girl group Katseye, recently nominated for best new artist at the Grammy Awards, has reported receiving multiple online death threats since their debut last year. Singer Lara Raj expressed that the volume of threats, which also target their families, is overwhelming, stating, “Even if it’s not going to happen, it’s heavy.” Additionally, Raj, a US citizen of Tamil Indian heritage, has faced racist comments and was falsely reported to ICE regarding her residency status.
