Cissy Houston, the renowned Grammy-winning singer and mother of the late Whitney Houston, passed away at 91 while receiving hospice care for Alzheimer’s disease. She died at her home in New Jersey, near the burial site of her daughter in Fairview Cemetery & Arboretum in Westfield. The news was confirmed by her daughter-in-law Pat Houston in a statement to The Associated Press.
