Cision CEO Cali Tran has transitioned to the role of chairman after less than two years in the chief executive position, with CFO Prasant Gondipalli named as interim CEO as the company searches for a permanent replacement. Tran also held the position of president and CEO of Brandwatch, a Cision company, with Channing Ferrer being promoted to global president. The private equity firm Platinum Equity, which acquired Cision in 2020, recently created a new holding company, sparking speculation among lenders about potential asset sales or collateral transfers. Additionally, Cision announced the shutdown of its Connectively platform, previously known as HARO, on December 9.
