The books, the clothes and the toys, the series link on the TV was stopped, and I felt confident I would never hear the words “silly Daddy Pig” or “Dinosaur, grrrrrr” again. My eldest son had left the world of playgroup piggies and headed for the more sophisticated worlds of Lego Ninjago and Sonic the Hedgehog.

Then, out of nowhere, my youngest suddenly developed a passion for Peppa. Suddenly it’s back on our screens and I’m absolutely delighted.
