CHP officer struck by vehicle on the 5 Freeway in Sylmar

On the 5 Freeway in Sylmar, a CHP officer was struck by a vehicle. The officer was taken to the hospital in critical condition. The driver who hit the officer remained at the scene and cooperated with authorities.
