During a meeting in Beijing, Chinese President Xi Jinping welcomed Finnish Prime Minister Petteri Orpo, emphasizing enhanced mutual trust and economic cooperation. Xi invited Finnish businesses to freely engage in China’s vast market and expressed a desire to uphold international law through collaboration. Discussions also focused on energy transition, agriculture, and forestry, with a business cooperation deal expected to be signed. Orpo’s delegation includes over 20 Finnish executives, highlighting Finland’s significant trade relationship with China, its largest trading partner in Asia.
