Two active-duty U.S. Army soldiers, Jian Zhao and Li Tian, were arrested for allegedly selling “Top Secret” military information to individuals in China, including classified documents about the Stryker combat vehicle and U.S. weapons systems. Federal prosecutors claim these incidents reflect China’s espionage tactics, targeting U.S. military personnel and government employees through trusted intermediaries. Former CIA station chief Dan Hoffman emphasized the critical need for U.S. military intelligence, especially amid rising tensions with China, highlighting the extensive efforts of Chinese intelligence operations.
