China and EU reach consensus on EV price framework

Chinese and EU teams have reached a “technical consensus” in recent EV discussions, focusing on the specifics of a price commitment plan for China-made EVs, despite claims of little progress by some Western media outlets. The China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Machinery and Electronic Products will play a core role in the implementation and supervision of the price commitment plan if agreed upon, with both parties showing willingness to concentrate on negotiations of core interests. While there have been challenges and differences in negotiations, both China and the EU are working towards reaching a mutual agreement and have made advancements in talks.
