Cybersecurity experts from Malwarebytes have highlighted the ease with which children can bypass social media age restrictions, allowing access to harmful content. Investigations revealed that children could exploit simple tricks, such as faking their age or using guest accounts, to view inappropriate material on platforms like YouTube, Roblox, and TikTok. Additionally, they discovered accounts promoting fraud and escort services that are not effectively monitored. In response to these findings, Roblox has recently implemented mandatory facial age verification for chat features to enhance safety.
