Child vaccine coverage faltering, threatening millions: study

Global childhood vaccination efforts are declining due to economic inequality, Covid disruptions, and misinformation, risking millions of lives and threatening future outbreaks of preventable diseases, according to a study in The Lancet. While past immunization programs saved 154 million lives, recent setbacks, particularly in low-income countries, jeopardize the WHO’s goal of 90% vaccination coverage by 2030.
