Worthy sues ex-fiancée, alleges extortion, abuse

Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Xavier Worthy is suing his former fiancée, Tia Jones, in Texas for allegedly stealing and destroying over $150,000 in cash and property, as well as assaulting him. Worthy was arrested on a charge of assault but no charges were filed against him. Worthy is seeking damages between $250,000 and $1 million for punitive and exemplary damages, claiming Jones tried to extort money and valuables from him by concocting false stories of domestic violence.
