Chicago man finds rare books; Newberry Library solves case

Robert Miller and his dog Sparky stumbled upon a stash of old German books on an evening walk, which he rescued to prevent damage. After months of investigation, it was revealed that the books belonged to a neighbor who accidentally discarded them. Miller offered the books to the Newberry Library, which accepted them but remains open to returning them if the rightful owner comes forward.
