The Chicago Cubs have denied a report from WSCR-AM 670 claiming that the 2027 All-Star Game will be held at Wrigley Field, stating that “no decision has been made.” Despite the Cubs’ long-standing desire to host the event following their ballpark renovations, clarification from reporter Bruce Levine indicated that the game may be awarded to the Cubs later this summer. The last All-Star Game at Wrigley was in 1990, and significant changes are required to meet MLB’s standards, including security upgrades and press accommodations, for the Cubs to host again.
