Enzo Maresca departs Chelsea after 18 months as manager

Chelsea Football Club has parted ways with head coach Enzo Maresca following a disappointing run, winning only one of their last seven Premier League matches and slipping to fifth place. Maresca, who was named Manager of the Month in November, had previously revitalized the team by securing UEFA Champions League qualification and winning two trophies in his first season. However, a poor December and a public outburst regarding club support led to his dismissal. Chelsea’s statement emphasized the need for a change to help the team regain momentum in their remaining competitions.
