In the latest ceasefire deal between Hamas and Israel, four young female Israeli soldiers – Karina Ariev, Daniella Gilboa, Naama Levy, and Liri Albag – are set to be released in exchange for 180 Palestinian prisoners. These soldiers were kidnapped during an attack on the Nahal Oz army base in October 2023 and will be the second group of hostages released as part of the ceasefire agreement. The ceasefire has already resulted in the release of three other Israeli hostages, including Romi Gonen, Doron Steinbrecher, and Emily Damari, who were captured during the same attack and have since returned to Israel.
