Central Coast Mariners’ licence revoked; APL takes control

The Australian Professional Leagues (APL) has assumed interim control of Central Coast Mariners after revoking chairman Mike Charlesworth’s licence due to his failed ownership deal with Damon Hanlin. The APL will initiate a sales process with interested buyers, including Queens Park Rangers. Hanlin, who had invested over a million dollars in the club, is being evaluated for a potential official ownership role. APL chairman Stephen Conroy emphasized the importance of securing a stable long-term owner for the Mariners to ensure the club’s success.
