Star Wars leader steps down after franchise reboot

Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy is stepping down after 14 years, transitioning to a full-time producer role. Appointed by Star Wars creator George Lucas, she is known for overseeing major hits like The Force Awakens, though she also led the franchise’s first box office failure, Solo: A Star Wars Story.
