City Hall is monitoring the weather forecast ahead of London’s sold-out New Year’s Eve firework display, with gusts of wind expected to reach up to 41mph and rain continuing into the early hours of the morning. The mayor of London has issued a warning about scammers targeting the event, which will take place around South Bank and Victoria Embankment, with tickets sold out and resale tickets available only on Ticketmaster’s website. The Met Police will be working alongside organizers to ensure no access without tickets, with a focus on crowd control and a highly visible police presence in place to maintain safety during the busy celebrations.
