Three miners, Kevin Coumbs, Darien Maduke, and Jesse Chubaty, were rescued after being trapped for two days in the Red Chris mine in northern British Columbia due to a collapse. They were found safe in a refuge chamber with access to food and water, and a full investigation into the incident will be conducted as production at the mine was suspended during the rescue operation.
