A 14-year-old girl was killed by a lion near Nairobi, as reported by the Kenya Wildlife Service (KWS), after being taken from a residential compound adjacent to Nairobi National Park. KWS rangers found her remains by the Mbagathi River and are currently searching for the lion, which has not yet been located, while implementing additional security measures to prevent further incidents. In a separate incident, a 54-year-old man was killed by an elephant in Nyeri county, underscoring ongoing human-wildlife conflicts in the region.
