Two thieves, Hecham Bourhar and Mohammed Kraifa, were caught on CCTV stealing a woman’s bag in a central London pub, valued at £2,000, on November 11. Kraifa used his foot to discreetly drag the bag closer to them, allowing Bourhar to grab it before they fled. Both men were sentenced to 18 weeks in prison for theft, with Bourhar receiving an additional eight weeks for breaching a Criminal Behaviour Order. Police have emphasized their commitment to tackling bag theft in the area.
