Former CBC host Cathy Alex, remembered for her laughter and community dedication, passed away at 62 after battling multiple myeloma. A Regina native who spent much of her career in Thunder Bay, she worked with CBC Radio for 33 years, earning accolades for her storytelling. Alex was known for her love of the outdoors and her community involvement, including organizing charity events. She is survived by her husband and two daughters, with a memorial service scheduled for January 14.
