Cardinals catcher Ivan Herrera is expected to miss 4 weeks because of a bone bruise

St. Louis Cardinals catcher Iván Herrera was placed on the 10-day injured list due to a bone bruise in his left knee, expected to be out for four weeks. Pedro Pages will take over behind the plate, with Yohel Pozo called up from Triple-A Memphis to start in Herrera’s absence. Herrera, who was batting .381 with four homers and 11 RBIs in seven games, suffered the injury during a doubleheader in Boston but fortunately tests revealed no serious damage.
