Cape Verde goalkeeper Vozinha’s mother receives visa for World Cup

Cape Verde’s goalkeeper Vozinha will be reunited with his mother, Ana Candida Evora, in Miami for their upcoming World Cup match against Uruguay on Sunday. House Democratic leader Hakeem Jeffries announced that Evora has been granted a visa to enter the U.S., after previously being unable to afford the bond payment. Jeffries thanked Secretary of State Marco Rubio and others for facilitating her travel arrangements following Vozinha’s impressive performance in a draw with Spain.
