Children Hospitalized After Incident at Canmore Hotel Pool

Eleven children were hospitalized after showing symptoms of illness at the Canmore Inn and Suites pool, suspected to be due to chlorine exposure. Emergency Health Services reported that around 30 children were affected, with firefighters confirming elevated hazardous substance levels in the air. While ten children were treated and stable, one was transferred to Alberta Children’s Hospital in serious but stable condition. The hotel has stated its commitment to investigating the incident and cooperating with authorities.
