The Montreal Canadiens have struggled in the faceoff circle this season, winning only 47.6 per cent of their faceoffs to rank 25th in the NHL. Former NHL centreman Marc Bureau was brought in to work with the team’s centres on faceoffs, with all regular centres winning less than 50 per cent. Canadiens head coach Martin St. Louis noted that Bureau’s expertise and experience could help improve the team’s performance in this area.
