Nike announced that US tariffs imposed by President Trump could increase its costs by around $1 billion this year, prompting the company to reduce its dependence on Chinese manufacturing. Despite the challenges, Nike’s latest quarterly earnings exceeded expectations, and the company plans to shift most of its footwear production out of China by 2026.
