Caster Semenya’s right to a fair hearing was violated by the Swiss Federal Supreme Court, as ruled by the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR), which found her 2020 appeal against World Athletics regulations insufficiently reviewed. Although the ruling does not alter the current restrictions on athletes with differences of sexual development (DSD), Semenya expressed it as a victory for athlete rights.

Explain It To Me Like I’m 5: Caster Semenya won a big decision saying that Switzerland didn’t give her a fair chance to explain why she should be allowed to compete in running races, which is important because she has a special condition that affects her body.
