Uganda Election Results: Museveni Leads Wine

Uganda’s President Yoweri Museveni is leading in the provisional results of Thursday’s presidential election, with 76% of the votes counted from 45% of polling stations, according to the electoral agency. Opposition leader Bobi Wine trails with approximately 20%. The election follows a tense and often violent campaign, as Museveni, 81, seeks a seventh term in office. Voting took place under heightened tensions across the nation.
