Warnings of snow, wind and rain across the UK for New Year

Weather warnings have been issued for rain, snow, and winds up to 70mph across the UK on New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day. Yellow warnings are in place for Northern Ireland, northern England, and parts of Scotland, with travel disruption expected. Heavy rain, snow, and strong winds are forecasted, with up to 140mm of rainfall in western Scotland and blustery conditions in southern England as the new year approaches.
