Floods, ceiling holes and loose sockets – life in a new-build

Residents of the new-build estate Fern Meadow in Wrexham have faced a multitude of issues including unfinished roads, flooding, loose sockets, and holes in ceilings. Five-year-old Riley was injured when he fell down a broken drain cover while trick or treating. Home buyers have expressed frustration with the lack of communication and poor after-sale care from developers Anwyl Homes and Bellway Homes. The developers have apologized for the delays in completing work on the roads and pavements, but progress is being made. Common issues on new-build estates across the UK include a lack of quality tradespeople to address problems. Residents feel they have been let down and are struggling to get issues resolved.
