Mike Peters, the frontman of the Welsh rock band The Alarm, has passed away at the age of 66 after a long battle with cancer.
Formed in 1981 in Rhyl, Denbighshire, the band gained popularity with their top 20 hit “Sixty Eight Guns,” showcasing an anthemic rock style that resonated with fans in both the UK and the US.
Peters had been living with blood cancer for 30 years, initially diagnosed with lymphoma in 1995 and later experiencing chronic lymphocytic leukaemia twice.
