Snow and ice warnings issued for New Year’s Day
The Met Office has issued snow and ice warnings for the UK, predicting a cold spell due to Arctic air that may last over a week. The UK’s Health Security Agency has issued amber and yellow alerts as temperatures drop. While initial snowfall may be limited to northern Scotland, other regions, including Northern Ireland, England, and Wales, could experience snow by week’s end, with the potential for more widespread snow next week.
