Makhosazana “Khosi” Dlomo, a 19-year-old, is breaking barriers as South Africa’s only black participant in tent pegging, a traditional cavalry sport, and the sole registered black female competitor in sub-Saharan Africa. This sport is often perceived as elite and dominated by white, middle-class riders, but Dlomo is committed to changing its visibility and inclusivity in South Africa’s sporting culture.
