Damien Martyn in Coma in Hospital

Former AFL star Brad Hardie reported on 6PR radio that cricketer Damien Martyn is seriously ill in a Queensland hospital due to meningitis. Hardie urged everyone to send positive thoughts for Martyn’s recovery. Martyn, who scored 4,406 Test runs and was a key player in Australia’s 2003 World Cup victory, received messages of support from former teammate Darren Lehmann. Martyn’s impressive career also included 5,346 runs in one-day internationals.
